The cost of your video conference includes a recording of the conference. . . so you can focus without worrying about scribbling notes or forgetting anything.

1/2-hour Video Conference with Janie

We can discuss any specific questions you have about your case, review a pleading (a document filed with the court) that you've drafted or that you've received from the other party, or discuss any case-related question that is weighing on you. Once you submit payment, you'll land on a page where you can schedule the conference.

1-hour Video Conference with Janie

We'll discuss and map out the overall strategy for your case, or dig into the details of one particular issue in your case -- such as reviewing your or the other party's financial statement, discussing the terms of a global agreement, or preparing for your appearance and self-representation at a settlement meeting or court hearing. Starting your Case

Draft and File Complaint, Answer and Counterclaim, Counterclaim Reply or Motion for Temporary Orders

The office will draft and file with the appropriate Court the document that we discussed.

Coordinate Service of Summons or Subpoena

My office will coordinate directly with the appropriate sheriff or constable to accomplish the service of a summons and complaint, or a subpoena, for your case. Please note that this fee does NOT include the fee to be paid to the sheriff or constable for the service itself. My office will let you know the exact amount of the payment due the sheriff or constable.

Prepare your Rule 410 Response for the Other Party

The office will prepare what we lawyers call your Rule 410 Response for the Other Party based on the documents and information that you provide to the office. Once you purchase this service, the office will contact you regarding the documents and information that we need from you in order to prepare your response.

Respond to the Other Party's Request for Production

My office will prepare your Response to the other Party's Request for Production of Documents and/or Electronically Stored Information (ESI). PLEASE NOTE that you will still have to spend some time to gather the requested documents and ESI to provide to my office, but we will guide you through that process, and then we will draft the Response, organize and assemble the documents and ESI to produce to the other party, and take care of shipping the response to the other party.

Negotiate Effectively

Representation at a (Virtual) Settlement "Four-Way" Meeting plus Agreement Draft

Hire me to represent you at a settlement meeting (also called "four-way meeting") with the other party and/or their attorney. The Court requires you to have this meeting before your first Pretrial Conference. This service and price includes me creating a first draft of your agreement. Please note that you will need to prepare or update your financial statement before the meeting.

Draft or Edit Divorce Agreement

I will draft your Divorce Agreement for you. If the other party’s attorney drafted the Divorce Agreement, I will review the draft for you and provide one (1) round of edits using Microsoft Word’s edit tracking feature.

Receiving and Responding to Opposing Counsel's Emails

For a flat monthly fee of $425, I will handle all email communication with the other party's attorney. This means that I will take over email communication with the attorney, and I will blind copy you on those email threads.

Representation in Court

Representation at Motion or Other Pretrial Hearing plus Dispute Intervention

Hire me to represent you at your motion or other pretrial hearing, including in the pre-hearing mediation session that you will be required to attend.

Representation at First Pretrial Conference plus Dispute Intervention

Hire me to prepare for, and represent you at, your first Pretrial Conference. This also includes me drafting your Pretrial Memorandum, and representation at the same-day dispute intervention that will occur at the courthouse on the day of your Pretrial Conference.

Representation at Trial

Hire me to prepare for, and represent you at, your trial. This is the final hearing in your case. Substantial work and time is required to prepare for the trial, as well as to appear at the trial and prepare the post-trial submissions that the Court will require. For that reason, the fee for trial representation is $15,000 for each day of trial scheduled in your case.

Draft and File Motion to Approve Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO)

I will draft the paperwork necessary to secure the Court's approval of your Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO). I will also make sure that, once the QDRO is approved by the Court, a certified copy is sent to the Plan Administrator for implementation.

Draft Marital Home (or other) Deed (including recording fee)

I will draft your deed and coordinate the signature and recording of same. Please note that this price includes the $155 fee that my office will pay to the Registry of Deeds to record the deed. After signature and recording, the original deed will be returned to you.
